Flamingo AEG

Following on from the design and success of the original Flamingo, these features have now made their way to an AEG bucking, the “Flamingo AEG”.

These have been tested in a huge amount of builds over a long period of time (anyone following my contact would have seen these have been a long-term project), alongside being tested with a variety of barrels, chambers and nubs.

Optimised patch radius
Improved feed lip angle
Improved fitment
Patch size increased to suit full open window barrels
Same material as the OG Flamingo
Designed for 0.30g BB’s and up
70A Hardness (which was the best overall performer)

Compatibility:

The AEG flamingo works well on most brands of AEG barrels:

Maple Leaf/PDI/Lambda/XT/ZCI/Mabdbull/EdGi/Faceless/Modify
Most stock barrels  though some stock brass inner barrels have small windows and don’t allow for the best application of hop.

The same goes for hop chambers, most work very well, Silent Sniper/ZCI/SHS/Maxx Model/Prowin (and clones)/majority of stock chambers.

There are some combinations of barrel/hop chamber that simply do not work well due to QC or tolerances, these are some I can confirm:

Novritsch SSR249 chamber
Specna Arms stock brass barrels in AK chambers
Ares VZ58 is finicky with some barrels
Krytac M4 hop chambers with stock brass barrel
Original Maxx Model MTW hop (the very first one released years ago)

Install tips:

For best results use on a barrel with a large window
Any small concave nub works well
Lube outside of bucking when installing into tight chamber as the material is very grippy and most stock hop units have seams/mould flashing which can catch  (If you don’t do this, you risk damaging the bucking on the hop chamber window when removing which will not be covered)
